SUMMARY

This article lists info about Error (Code 3) that Device Manager may report and provides resolutions. To view the error codes, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, click Run, and in the Open box, type control panel.
2. In Control Panel, double-click System, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
3. Double-click a device type. For example, double-click Modems to see the devices in that category.
4. Double-click a device to view its properties. If an error code has been generated, the code appears in the Device Status box that is on the General tab.

The driver for this device might be corrupted, or your system may be running low on memory or other resources. (Code 3)

Resolution
